pg. 267 – The Clear Cut Future

The thing that gives me the toughest time is coming up with titles for these posts so from now on I’m just opening up books and grabbing a sentence.

Last Sunday we went to the dog beach because it was a balmy 50 degrees. Saul made a new friend.

And he ran on the icy shore.

I don’t know why I forget about the beach when winter comes.. He would have had so much fun running in giant piles of snow when we still had some. We’ll probably get another big storm before the season’s over.

Daylight savings starts tonight and the days will be a little longer. The end of winter is near, the light is different outside and the sun is starting to feel a little warm again. It’s exciting! This was one of the worst most oppressive winters we’ve had in a while, I’m glad it’s nearly over.

Yesterday I was feeling a little sad about leaving Chicago. Honestly I’m more sad to leave our apartment than the city itself. I love our place, and the neighborhood. I especially love..

Our stained glass window when the sun shines through it in the morning..

And my other favorites are..

All the interior room doors have these. Nobody really puts in the effort for the details any more.

I’m not sure where all this nostalgia for the old days is coming from.. Maybe I need to move to a farm or go on a vacation to the wilderness. It’s probably just a symptom of my usual winter mood disorder and anstsyness for a day or two in a row where I can go outside for 10 minutes and not be suffocated by the cold.

The cheese supplies are coming in the mail. I’ll post a full report on how that project goes.
