Collaboration Will Be The Key

So happy I made it through this week alive. It’s was a pretty hectic one. Work was crazy busy but I’m really happy with the outcome.
There have been many discussions over the past couple weeks about the 5 year plan. I know, I know boring. But it’s necessary. We’ve been on the cusp of a major life change. It seems like the very act of thinking about making the move to Austin has raised all these other issues and ideas. 6 months or a year ago even when we first started talking about all of this we were both bored and frustrated and feeling like we were stagnating creatively. A change of place seemed like the key, the thing that would stir things up and start the momentum…
The momentum started anyway, without moving, without changing much of anything except for the mindset.
The boat is good and stable and doesn’t need any rocking.
These days I’m feeling like all those people that say you are the master of your own destiny are kind of full of crap. You think you are in control of things but it never quite happens they way you were thinking it would.
We’ll know by September what the plan is, I hope. If not we’ll keep the boat stable and do no rocking.
